CarPiHAT

The CarPiHAT was concieved as a high quality automotive interface for the Raspberry Pi. It utilises an embedded power supply for the Pi, Opto-isolated inputs and switched power outputs. It also has a CAN interface, I2C and 1-Wire connections.

Molex Nano-fit connectors were also used to ensure a firm latching connection to a vehicles loom. We also developed a 3D printed shroud and cooling fan after discussions with customers in hot climate countries to ensure a wide range of operating conditions.

This project also provided us with valuable experience in large batch manufacturing and assembly with 500 units manufactured to date.
